Having an experience of almost 40 years in the architectural field, I remember when we’d tried several CAD software solutions (some of them no longer exist in the market or have been merged with their larger competitors), none of them impressed us more than ABIS software from Austria. Though we know that nothing is the one-and-only-prefect software in this fast paced business,- yet, from our experience we can say it was easy to learn and in no time at all we were able to make use of the powerful commands of ABIS software. After working in 2D for some time, we upgraded to the 3D module of ABIS software and we do not regret this investment ever. There are, for e.g. no restrictions when it comes to navigation, similar to a video game you zoom in real-time 3D rendering mode through the model. You don’t have to switch off layers or leave (literally) a door open to get into the next room. You just pass through walls and whatever components in any height or angle, simply by using the cursor arrows and your mouse.
In general we at organic Arts+Architecture use 3D modeling software soon after the first hand sketches and/or simple physical models have been done. We start with basic pre-models to improve our design ideas and also how it will fit into the built environment. Once the design is frozen, we continue by modeling the final model with furniture, textures and lighting. In a presentation, it is so much easier for our clients to follow our design concepts, show different colour schemes, textures, the impact of light and shadow and not to forget the convincing results of diverse illumination scenarios.
Since the design language of organic Arts+Architecture has a certain level of uniqueness we expect the same exceptionality from our tools, which we found at ABIS software.
